Payments are due one month in advance on the 1st of the month. Overdue payments attract an additional 20% administration fee.

Kapiti Self Storage doesn’t provide insurance for your goods. You’ll need to arrange your own insurance, or you can choose to personally accept the risk for items you store.

What can I store in my unit?

You can store almost anything in the storage unit, as long as it fits into the following guidelines: no hazardous items, including environmentally harmful, inflammable or explosive items; no perishable items or animals of any kind; no illegal or stolen items; no items that are at risk to the property of any other persons, or that may constitute an offensive odour or a nuisance to any other person or property; ensure all items are dry, clean, and free of vermin and food scraps; no storage of motor vehicles.

How secure are the storage units?

Our storage units have been fitted with CCTV, smoke alarms, and security alarms for your peace of mind. Each unit has its own individually monitored alarm, armed and disarmed with your own PIN code. Tenants can provide their own padlock for securing their unit (padlocks are available for purchase on request).
